Our Advocacy Services

Advocacy services can be provided to both past or recent survivors of sexual assault. Services include immediate support and advocacy and can be received regardless of whether the person who has experienced sexual assault reports the crime to law enforcement.

Per F.S. 90.5035, all information provided to GCSAP Advocates is considered confidential.

  • Provide Immediate Emotional Support
  • Accompaniment for Forensic Examination and Collection/Rape Kit (Recent Sexual Assault)
  • In-person or over the phone Crisis Intervention
  • Assistance with Medical Intervention
  • Assist with making a report to Law Enforcement
  • Information and Referrals
  • Help with basic needs including food, clothing, transportation, and hygiene
  • Safety Planning
  • Assistance with Injunctions for Protection
  • Assistance with Victim Compensation application
  • Assistance with the criminal justice system
  • Ongoing Support and Case Management
  • Referrals for Trauma Informed Crisis Counseling, Individual and Group Therapy Services
  • Support Groups
